Denim Blues

Here Gabi has paired a collar button up with a pair of dark washed jeans. The Contrast of the two hues of blue is so fabulous to me. The Collared shirt is jazzed up a bit with a bold necklace and a skinny belt brings in her shape. Accessories definitely play an important role in this outfit and I just absolutely love it!! See how the collared shirt brings a preppy feel to the outfit?

Blaze Me Up

Here Gabi has dressed up the collared shirt look up a bit by pairing a white collared shirt with a high waisted skirt. The beige colored blazer brings a bit of color and a causal feel to her outfit. Once again a statement necklace is the centerpiece of the outfit and I love the combo! These looks have definitely inspired me to go out and get a bundle of collared shirts and statement necklaces!

Collar with outfits that you have in your own closet! These D.I.Y. collars could double as a statement necklace as well and bring a personal touch to any of your outfits! I will be trying to make one of these collars soon.

The 26-year-old actress covered “I Will Always Love You,” a track originally written and performed by Dolly Parton and made famous by Whitney Houston in the 80’s. I’m a Gleek so I’ve always known Amber Riley can saaaang… But it looks like this tribute performance has everyone taking a second look at Amber Riley. I’m sure people will make comparisons between this tribute and the one performed by Jennifer Hudson at The Grammy’s. Both singers did well in my opinion…

I posted a video of Keke Wyatt‘s performance at Kelly Price and Friends Pre-Grammy party on my Facebook page  Friday night… I saw Whitney’s performance and I knew something was amiss but I was still glad to see her onstage doing what she loves the very next day after attending a funeral for the youth pastor at my church I got the news of her passing via twitter. Her last performance at Kelly Price’s event was a special one indeed as she was in good company with some of the best vocalist in the industry. Here are some of the performances from that night including Whitney’s last performance.

Braxton Family Values Season 2 Episode 13

One word… Gabe has a sexual addiction??? LOL ok thats five smh he is a real sicko!!! This episode shows the circumstances surrounding Vince’s hospitalization for the treatment of blood clots in his lungs and legs. We really get to see how serious the situation was for Tamar & Vince. This was a good one… Very emotional so get your Kleenex!

Great news ya’ll!!! Jazmine Sullivan is currently in the studio working on a new album. Yes, I know she said that she was quitting music for good. But if you know like I know when you are a naturally creative being it’s something that never leaves you… Creativity and your art become apart of who you are so I knew she would be back.

Fantasia returned to the stage this past Sunday at the 2012 Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. This is her first time back on stage since giving birth to her son. She sang “Total Praise” (which I love) and she even brought her mother Diane out on stage to perform “He’s Done Enough”. You can say whatever you want about Fantasia but the girl is anointed and she can saaaang!!! Made me do a little shout!!!

Casual

Ok so you can dress down a bodycon dress by adding a cropped denim jacket and combat boots. The denim jacket will cover your arms and bring your shape in, and the black combat boots will give your just a splash of punk-rock chic. If the rocker edge isn’t your style, pair the dress with a floral printed cardigan and cream colored ballerina flats to give it a romantic soft chic look.

Dressy

Ok so for a dressier look let’s remove the rocker boots and jean Jacket and add some black pumps and a clutch for a classy night out on the town. For a bolder look, try adding a different color pair of pumps. A nice yellow pair could add a Nicki Minaj feel to the pink dress and make you look bright, flirty and fun. If it gets to chilly, throw on a cardigan or a light jacket to keep your arms warm. Also add a pair of opaque tights if you don’t want too much leg to be shown.
