OPRAH WINFREY TALKS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF ANNIE LEE COOPER IN “SELMA” (VIDEO)

 

Ava Duvernay really struck gold when she was offered the opportunity to direct the now critically acclaimed film Selma. Although the film has recently been snubbed by the Oscars the self taught director has certainly secured her spot in Hollywood as one of the premiere up and coming Directors of this year.

One of the most pivotal roles in this movie is that of Annie Lee Cooper played by the one and only Oprah Winfrey. Oprah speaks on the importance of the role at a recent press conference at the Mandarin Hotel in New York City.

SNAPSHOT: AMBER RILEY STEPS OUT FOR FOX’S ‘EMPIRE’ PREMIERE EVENT

 

Amber Riley stepped out for the Premiere of the new hit show Empire about a week ago and here’s what she had to say on her Instagram…

“I had an amazing time tonight and was so happy to see some of my FOX family. Make sure you guys watch Empire! It is an incredible show, brilliantly written and the music is out of this world, acting is subperb! I’m fangirling lol ok goodnight my loves!!!”

The show really is good. My favorite character so far is Ms. Cookie played by the incredible Taraji P. Henson… Can’t wait to see what happens next on my new favorite show!

Like Silk! Jazmine Sullivan continues to deliver flawless vocals every time… It’s one thing to attempt to cover a classic such as Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”, but if in your effort you actually  tweek the song & make it your own, that’s when you know you are listening to a REAL talent. Something that is very rare these days. Kudos to Jazmine for the great delivery! Looking forward to her third album release “Reality Show” that will be dropping on January 13, 2015.
